Surface microstructure construction and flashover performance of polymer insulators

The construction method of the surface micro-morphology of polymer insulators and its influence on the surface flashover performance were studied. First, silica microspheres were used as templates, and the chemical template method was used to realize the surface of cross-linked polystyrene (CLPS). For the construction of μm-level cavities, the influence of the particle diameter and addition amount of silica microspheres on the microporous parameters was studied; secondly, the laser etching method was used to achieve a hundred μm-level triangular grooves on the surface of the organic glass (PMMA) insulator. The construction of the array explored the influence of laser process parameters on the morphology and structure of the microgrooves. The short-pulse high-voltage test platform was used to test the vacuum flashover performance of insulators with two different micro-morphologies. The results show that flashover along the surface The winding voltage has been significantly improved. Among them, the flashover voltage of PMMA insulators with suitable microgrooves on the surface is increased by nearly 150% compared with untreated insulators; compared with the traditional surface mechanical processing method, the flashover voltage of the polymer surface Realize the controllable construction of microstructures from μm to hundreds of μm, and stabilize the vacuum flashover voltage along the surface
